I finished the first book, hoping that book 2 the MC will at least grow a backbone and common sense.
After 4 chapters I just can’t, he’s to whiny,soft, and wishy washy.
I’m a avid reader of post Apocalyptic books and the MC usually has either army or marine training, despite being in the CG he must have had some survival training, number 1 being you never leave your weapon behind, especially in a hostile environment. This day and age everyone has read, or know someone, and/or just know the basics of survival. Movies, TV shows,and documentaries on YouTube has been giving out alot of self help info on the topic.
And yes I get that he has the free spirited hippie vibe going for him, but unless he’s been living in a cave the past 2 decades there’s no way he should be this clueless and taking the children in trying to save everyone by himself…
I don’t recommend this to anyone, and I I agree with the previous comments that stated it reads like a 10yr old wrote it
