It took me a minute to get past the narrators’ voices. I kept having to start it over. I’m reading this series after coming from the Delgado, Inferno, & Caselli books and the major switch up in narrators is a bit hard to get past. The woman’s voice is so slow and monotoned that she almost sounds like AI. And it’s hard to distinguish characters because she doesn’t really change her voice. It’s almost like she’s just reading the book. The guy is a little better but he doesn’t give New York street dude at all. His accent and the way he pronounces certain words doesn’t give me a clear visual of the male characters. And he has a hard time changing his voice for characters as well……But, once I figured out that changing the speed of the audiobook helped, I was able to get into it. About to start book 2 now!
