This the first time I’ve read, or listened to, a piece of epistolary fiction. In fact, I had never heard of the word before. Initially I found it a bit hard to follow who was writing to whom, but perhaps this would have been less confusing if I was reading it instead of listening. However, very soon, it all clicked, and boy oh boy, was I ever hooked! Virginia Evans has written a masterpiece story about a broken woman, who manages in her later years to find healing, self-forgiveness and even love in many forms. The narrators were absolutely phenomenal and brought the characters to life! This book is now at the top of my all-time favorite books. I was quite sad when it ended.
