Does this book have a lot of weirdness, swearing, and gore? Yes. But somehow it’s packaged in a high adrenaline but still relatable way that has plot twists and character development that keep brining us back for more.
On top of that, the pace, the voices, and the inflection are all well done. Just enough sound effects to keep things moving, but not full immersive so you still get that “I’m being read to” vibe.
