This book takes place after an intergalactic war was fought with humans versus AI bonded human consciousnesses that had gone off the rails and humanity barely survived. What this story does extremely well is the character development in an interesting universe. I thoroughly enjoyed the ending and be aware that this collection contains the .5 Novella that many people thought it did not. The key takeaway as far as the Novella is tconcerned is that it appears at the end of the 33 hour collection: thus explaining why so many people missed it and wrote incorrect reviews. It just shows that they likely did not finish the book otherwise they would have known the novella is at the end. This was a fun book to read: a real proper space opera with a happy ending. Highly recommend!
