The dialogue looks like it was written by a teenager. The dog gets more coverage then the humans. Pointless detailed descriptions of every firearm, as if the writer had several gun magazines for reference. The father talks to his son like he’s a special-needs child who constantly needs “good job” reinforcement. So little variation, as nearly every person they encounter, except for a chosen few tries to kill them. Complete ignorance by the author about atomic weapons in the radiation they would’ve encountered for days. Overall, a silly story.
