The first part of this book to me was rather dark and boring. I skipped ahead a few times. I thought about quitting the book, but I didn’t. It definitely picked up about halfway through and became quite interesting. The last half of the book was four stars. I wish the author would’ve taken some of the time she spent going on certain situations in the beginning and used it to give them more conclusive ending to one of the daughter stories. I think we often read books where we feel like the ending was a little rushed and the beginning drawn out. It was a beautiful story and I of course love how Lynn Austin can weave God into her writing in such a beautiful way. I would recommend that you read this book, maybe you will be interested in the beginning parts!? If you don’t find them interesting skip forward. You won’t be missing much, I wish I knew which chapter it was where the book has a detail you cannot miss and becomes quite interesting-I would say it really was about halfway through the book.
