I think this one is my favorite. Jake had such a harsh upbringing and so I’m glad he found a way to take control of his life again. He was so young when he was forced to do things to protect those he loved. I didn’t think much of him in the first two books, but loved his story in this one. Poor Sawyer in an abusive relationship for so long without really knowing it. Because abuse comes on so many forms. I love that she found the will to live for what she wants and not anyone else. And so refreshing because in our society, a 36 year old woman who is unmarried and childless is almost pitied. Shows you it doesn’t matter how old you are, it’s never to late for new beginnings.
