This was such a sweet friends-to-lovers, brother’s best friend, sports romance that just made me feel warm and happy. It’s one of those low-drama, feel-good stories that you can sit back and enjoy without stress. Rhett is an absolute sweetheart, and Evie has this innocence to her that kind of made me miss being young and a little unsure.

They’ve known each other for years, Rhett is her brother’s teammate and best friend, so when they end up living together, the chemistry that’s always been there finally has a chance to come out. I liked that both of them were a little scared to speak up about their feelings but also aware that they couldn’t keep doing that if they really wanted a chance at something real. It felt relatable and genuine.

As for the audiobook, I was really impressed! Alexander Neal’s southern accent was perfection, he totally sold me on Rhett’s charm. And Lena Lee had such a soft, sweet tone that fit Evie so well. They’re both new-to-me narrators, and I’d definitely listen to them again.

If you’re in the mood for a cozy, heartwarming romance with a little sports and a lot of sweetness, this one’s worth the listen!
