Sweet and swoony, Steal a Kiss is a seriously cute romance that left me smiling. It’s Rhett and Evie’s story, and it all begins with Evie needing somewhere for her and her adorable puppy to stay after finishing grad school for a couple months. That’s where Rhett comes in. Evie’s brother’s building doesn’t allow pets, so she and Rhett wind up temporary roommates. There’s a deep attraction between them though, but can these two make things work beyond their short-term situation?

Evie and Rhett are so good together! She’s adorable and kind but smart and a bit shy, and he’s such a sweetheart but totally irresistible. I love that they’ve both been harboring feelings for years, and the moment they find out that they’ve been mutually pining for one another was so worth the wait. The slight tension and all the complexities that they’re facing all while their relationship is evolving from roommates to lovers is well done, and I couldn’t get enough of them.

And the audiobook is fantastic. Lena Lee as Evie and Alexander Neal as Rhett were perfectly cast. Lee’s got this softness to her voice that’s perfect for Evie’s character, and Neal gives Rhett this southern twang that’s exactly right. They do an amazing job at bringing Evie and Rhett to life, and I enjoyed listening to them narrate.

Steal a Kiss is a delightfully charming baseball romance with endearing characters and a cheeky and fun plotline. This love story will make you swoon, and I highly recommend the audiobook.
