Great original story that was heartbreaking, emotional, funny and very entertaining and a good introduction to the antics and characters of the members of the De Montforte brothers. Sibling manipulation, a reformed handsome Rake, a beautiful American woman in need, character growth, sex and a lot of angst made this a ‘just one more chapter’ listen.
However, IMO, the narrator’s voice was hard, old and totally inappropriate for this listen because unfortunately it didn’t make me swoon over the male Hero.
There isn’t a cliffhanger ending but there was a shocking discovery at the end which will be followed-up in book 2 so my suggestion would definitely be start with book 1.
Worth a credit? Yes, and I’ve already downloaded ALL the rest in the series because I am that interested in each of the brother’s welfare and happiness.
