the narration is very good and really brings the story to life.
story is fairly decent with ok progress. does a great job at getting you interested quickly from the start.
characters are also mildly interesting.
a few places in the story like the star wars reference should not have been included. it pulls the reader out of the story as it makes zero sense having it in a world that wouldn’t know about it. there are a couple places I found I was pulled from the story and my interest started diminishing.
overall 4/5 decent pickup though I personally will not be getting the second book in the series and I usually get most books in a series.
