After escaping a violent past and walking out of a bushfire with nothing but his grandfather’s telescope, Aubrey ends up in a small, remote town where he meets Patrick, a solitary lighthouse keeper still grieving his lost love. Neither expected to find happiness again, but their quiet connection slowly turns into something meaningful. It’s a heartfelt, gentle romance with a touch of hope and healing.
This was a nice, easy read—very entertaining. I think it may have been a tad too long, but enjoyable all the same. The narrator did a fantastic job capturing the heart of the story.
