I’m usually skeptical of sequels and spinoffs, but I’m glad I gave this one a try. While absolutely in the Widdershins universe, it has its own characters, its own world-building, and nothing here is either a repetition of the original series or undoing what those characters accomplished. I get to care about these bozos in their own right.
