This is a good starter book into the genre. It overexplains a lot of the basic stuff & what it doesn’t explain it goes with the – “no one know why” solution.
The Mimic is the star for sure. The MC falls into the lucky by oblivious type. An example is the MC being surprised about something that he was fully aware & talked about several chapters before. It’s like watching someone kick a door barefoot & being shocked their foot hurts.
A lot of the intrigue is very surface level as well. All in All worth the read but again, a good starter book into the genre.
