Starting right off the bat, we’re put back into the shoes of our main character, a young man who’s normally isolationist in nature, but has to learn how to associate with the rest of humanity as part of his character growth. I really like this theme, and it’s one we saw in the first book as our main character slowly learns teamwork with a gold rank hunter.
I’m surprised there aren’t more reviews for this title, seeing as it has thousands of reviews across Amazon and goodreads, overwhelmingly in the positive. If you liked book one, I highly recommend checking out book 2! You won’t be disappointed, odds are.
I would point out that the narrator isn’t really super amazing, but he does an adequate job, and the shining quality of the writing more than makes up for it.
