The series has been a wonderful find. I love the litRPG genre but often find the writing to be rather sophomoric and unbelievable, favoring statistics and abilities over story and real stakes. This author has found a comfortable blend between character believability, complex world-building, and a progression that you really care about. The main character is also not a schmuck, as many are in this genre.

I particularly appreciate how the author tastefully uses alternative perspectives as a way to really appreciate the main character and what he’s doing in the universe from perspectives other than his own. This is done in such a way that you don’t find yourself sitting through countless chapters about characters you don’t care about, but you’re getting some insight into the world the main character is in, as well as the lens he’s viewed through..
