I read this book because there were so many positive reviews, but with some trepidation because I didn’t know if I would like the letter format. It turned out for me to be so engaging to listen to her correspondence with so many different types of people giving numerous windows into her varied experiences and contacts. I actually do not think I would have liked it as much had I read it in printed book form, but I loved the talented narrators, and I was totally engaged in the story and did not become bogged down by the letter format.
