Mark Goodwin has become my favorite author. The book was well written and kept me engaged from beginning to end. My favorite parts were the theme of wars and the impact it had on the America and the characters as well as the christian views held by them. They persevered as they put their hope and Faith in God and even tho loss was experienced, they prevailed.
