This is a great listen. I’ve heard this audio book a dozen times over the years and it still draws me into the event, like I’m there. Davis and Sacramento are local to me, so knowing all the locations from Davis to North Shore helps make it that much better. When this book was written, a large area proceeding Folsom lake was dairy farms and rolling green hills. It was magical. Today, in a very short time span, the dairy farms are gone, no more pastures for grazing. The hills are lined with homes, like snakes the houses are lined up from top to bottom. It’s gone. Just so you don’t expect to ever go there.
The narrators are great, Kevin Pierce and more, they do good voices. There’s one voice that’s iffy, I’ll let you find him.
The series is worth the credit. Many good and interesting subplots that come together answering all the questions posed. This is one andiobook that should be in the library of all SHTF book enthusiasts.
