This was an enjoyable entry into the DCC series but I fear Matt is spending more time trying to surprise readers than resolve plot lines in a satisfying fashion. The story whiplashes between serious and comedic with such a break neck speed that I’m not quite sure if I should be taking it seriously or just if I’m just being set up for another punchline.
As always, Jeff Hays and team absolutely killed the performance.
