This one didn’t quite live up to the first two books. Carl and Doughnut are still the hilarious, awesome duo they’ve always been, but the railway system plot just lost me—it was overly complicated and hard to follow at times. Thankfully, the last few chapters brought the action back in full force and reminded me why I enjoy this series so much. I’m really hoping the next book returns to the fun and energy that made the first two such great reads.
