I started to listen to a podcast (On with Kara Swisher) when she interviewed the author.  I was so interested in the premise that I stopped listening so that I could download the audiobook – I didn’t want ANY spoilers and I’m glad I did.  To me, this book is – WOW – what an achievement in bringing together a heartful family drama and dispassionate story of how AI can affect us.  (I went on to listen to the interview.)  I wouldn’t rate this as my top pick for 2025, but probably within top 10.  So many kudos to the author for the in depth/nuanced characters.  Performers also great.
