The Correspondent was such an interesting reading experience for me. I’ve always loved stories told through letters, and this format really pulled me in. There’s something intimate and almost old-fashioned about piecing together a life through someone’s words on the page, and Evans captured that feeling well.
While the story didn’t always hit the emotional depth I was hoping for, I still found myself appreciating the quiet, reflective moments that came through in the correspondence. It’s the type of book that feels like opening someone’s private drawer of memories. It was subtle, gentle, and engaging in its own way.
A solid, unique read that I’m glad I picked up, especially for the epistolary style.
