No one has come as close to hitting a home run in writing such a devastating and believable world catastrophe. The characters and the drama are so well developed I had to stop listening a few times to recenter on the reality that I am not really there. R.E. McDermott delivers an accurate assessment of the human condition under a catastrophic world event. I highly recommend this series as it is one of the best written and narrated works to date.
