It’s a litrpg. They’re a dime a dozen. But I’ve never read one before where the protagonist is so under powered, and instead relies on charm, trickery and manipulation to survive. The conflicts are cleaver. There’s more focused on narrative and world building rather than some tedious skill grinding trap that most litrpgs fall into. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book.

The narrators were good. I’m not really a big fan of multiple narraters, but these two did a good job. Though I found the delivery of all non-dialog lines a little monotone. Not bad, but not my favorite. But she really fit Elise’s light voice perfectly. And did the other female voices great too, with distinct voices. I’m hovering just under 5 stars, despite my nit-picks.
