These books are an absolute joy ride, and Carl’s Doomsday Scenario keeps that energy going strong. Carl and Donut’s adventure continues to be hilariously entertaining, with laugh-out-loud moments balancing out the constant tension of Dungeon Crawler World.
Donut is as sassy and over-the-top as ever, dropping quips while chaos unfolds, and poor Carl still can’t manage to find a pair of pants, which never stops being funny. Now, their party grows, the stakes get higher, and the dangers become even more bizarre and creative—undead circuses, raining bodies, and ancient spells all thrown into the mix.
Even with the absurdity, the story keeps you invested in Carl and Donut’s survival, with the worldbuilding and challenges keeping the pace moving quickly. If you’re looking for a litRPG that is equal parts brutal, hilarious, and engaging, this series continues to deliver.
