Let me preface by saying – I listen to a LOT of audio books, at least 3 to 4 per week, and I would consider myself somewhat of an aficionado.
That being said, this is a must read (or listen).
Despite the length, you will not find a dull moment or meaningless filler. The writing is absolutely brilliant and the narration is phenomenal. I’m not sensitive to triggers, but am always curious how an author integrates sensitive topics into a story and in my opinion, this author managed to weave these aspects into her story tastefully and with care. None of them seemed gratuitous or excessive for shock value, but rather were necessary elements for the story progression and character development. Overall, everything was expertly balanced and thoughtful. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and it will definitely be added to my favorites list.

If I had to critique anything, it would only be that I wish it didn’t have to end and could have been done in duet narration.
