What made the experience of listening to Winters Heat the most enjoyable?
Because the story seemed to come mostly from Colby it was good to have a male narrator. He also had great inflection for the sarcastic wit.
What did you like best about this story?
i enjoyed the dialogue and the fast pace. Harber didn’t waste much time developing the back story on any of the characters–which kept the pace fast–and apparently didn’t keep me from knowing exactly who to root for. I’m glad I wasn’t driving…I might have been pushing 80 or 90!
Which scene was your favorite?
The opening scenes grabbed my interest and I couldn’t break away. I enjoyed Colby’s mom “setting him straight.”
Any additional comments?
I am always amazed how quick people fall into bed, but I think the life and death would have pushed them to that life affirming activity pretty quickly. I liked that there was much more story and rich characters than sex to the book. I will look for more by this author. I enjoyed the narrator also.
