It can be difficult to make a story where the MC is all powerful, because there’s a severe lack of any stakes to make anything impactful. Still, this author manages to make the world interesting enough to overlook that. also there are lesser characters not as safe.
My main gripe is the tongue and cheek pseudo 4th wall breaks. An MC quoting Star Wars who is at least from this world makes sense. Quoting it in a world it doesn’t exist though pulls you right out of things like a glaring “remember this I’d all made up” sign in neon.
Otherwise, I enjoyed the interesting take of Cultivation being a softer poor man’s D&D in the humorous way it was done. I’ll give the next one a try as well.
