Full Disclosure, I loved the Mad Mick Series and Kevin Pierce’s narration; so once the series concluded, I tried to move on. But I needed more of Franklin Horton’s writing…and was pleased to find the first book in the Way of Dan Series. At first, I was not sure I was going to enjoy the storyline or the protagonist (for reasons I will leave out to because reviews should not spoil the story), but I committed to finish and came to really like Dan despite his flaws. Upon finishing Book One, I uncovered this five-book box set and I’ll admit, I binged on the final four books! Franklin Horton gives you just enough detail about people, places and prepping to give you the feeling that he knows what he’s talking about, but bottom line, it’s the people and their interactions/relationships and how the characters evolve. This is not a primer on preparing for an EMP, but if you have ever wondered if you should be preparing for an EMP, this series gives you plenty of reason why it would be a good idea. I am definitely going to read/listen to more of Franklin Horton’s books. I will be reading your reviews to help me decide which one I should start next.
