Another great addition to my favorite book series. Even the clunky or less enjoyable parts have a larger purpose to play in the story, such as the unoptimized card game and the progressively longer AI tangents. Still manages to be hilarious while not detracting from the drama or agony of the crawlers. And an absolutely jaw dropping setup for the ninth floor. Just finished a reread before the next book and I can’t wait to watch Carl Break Them. Another masterful performance by Jeff Hayes, who has a range of voices that is completely baffling.
