Ok, I am book three into Marcus Battles’ travels through post-apocalytic USA and my interest is not subsiding.
It would seem that The Cartel are not the only game in town when it comes to controlling the wasteland, and whilst Battle knows which side he supports, he is wise enough to know you can’t trust anybody in this messed up world he lives in.
The storyline is solid, the main characters are well defined and believable. Most of the characters motives become obvious as the story continues. Kevin Pierce does a great job of narration and keeps the pace moving quite nicely.
The obvious recommendation is to start with Book 1 – Home, as it clearly provides the background to Marcus’ life and motivations for his current behaviour.
