These books honestly continue getting better and better. Since this is the 11th book in this series, I am very emotionally invested in these characters, I feel like they are brothers-in-arms! I laugh at the banter, get angry at the injustices, and cry over the tragedies. Joshua Dalzelle masterfully paints the picture that sets your imagination into overdrive, by now, I KNOW these “people” and feel like I could find my way around inside the Phoenix. A truly gifted and talented author. Paul Heitsch is an extraordinary actor; a vocal magician. He fleshes out these well-developed characters so succinctly, I am constantly forgetting that all these voices are coming from one person! I’m a bit panicked facing the next, final book in this series, so not wanting this to end. What a ride!
