Yes. Compared to the preceding books in the series, this one appeared to have a better structured story with the fewer major inconsistencies. And even though the overly obnoxious acts of certain characters remained, gone were the author’s obsessive love of parasitic worms. It did feel as if author finally received some inspiration and was able to work at leaat a little bot on multiple character development vectors for a change. Everything looked OK until he felt to his old routine of messing things up and negating everything good he had managed to achieve thus far. Paired with the fact that multiple antagonists – new and old alike – remained annoyingly single-minded and uninspired caricatures of what they should have been had the author actually studied fiction writing or read enough books prior to trying to write his own. On the bright side, the voice acting has been superb, perhaps even better than before.
