I’m a true crime fan and purchased this book based on the many high reviews. Now I’m wondering if those reviewers are talking about the same book. This book was absolutely terrible. Did anyone even edit it? The author goes off on tangents constantly. For example, he describes his childhood and work life history and then introduces the Delphi case. Then after discussing the case for a few chapters, he starts going off on tangents and describing other cases that are not related to the Delphi case other than the fact that they are true crime cases. It’s almost like he’s giving a summary of several true crime cases to make enough material for this to become a book. He also does not offer any new info or insights into the Delphi case. It really seems like the author wanted to write a true crime book but didn’t have enough material for one so made a book by rambling on about a medley of cases. I had to return this one. Definitely not worth the audible credits or money or even the time to listen!
