K. A. Tucker has done it again! I’m seriously going to be in a book slump for a moment after this one. I can’t imagine what I could possibly read after this that can even compare. I might have to actually take a break… NAH just kidding! But I will have a hard time finding something to live up to these standards.
Gabriel and Mercy were both prominent characters in this final story. They both had strong roles, separately, and together, just like every other book prior to this one. We got to see more of mercy’s growth in this one. A little less of the Dad’s and a little more of the “secondary characters.”
This wrapped up the series almost completely in a nice bow. There were a couple of things left in the air like Merrick and Caleb?! Did anything go on there? And of course, the fire in this book kept along the lines of every other book prior to this one. KA Tucker does it like nobody’s business. I had to fan myself consistently throughout the series. The other thing that left me wondering is the ending came a bit abruptly. We didn’t really get to hear what happened to Gabe’s dad, what went on with Mercy’s dad after Vlad disappear disappeared and how things shaped up in the Vegas venture.
All in all, a smashing into an amazing series. I cannot get enough and I’m sad that it’s over! As always Alex Kydd and Ada Sinclair salute professionals during the audible part when I was listening and not physically reading. I love love. Loved them both for these characters and going to miss them. There is KA Tucker‘s new series that comes after the Wolf hotels maybe I’ll start that one next?
