I wasn’t expecting to find this book funny, charming, and ultimately enduring. It started out like reading the Bible- in my mind. Very heavy on the exposition, but given the context and needing all of the backstory to understand what was coming, I saw it through. Ultimately Estrella was so good at quips, follow through, and characterization I was hooked. It truly read like a well executed DnD game and I eagerly flew through both Book 1 and Book 2. Now excuse me as I go find the next book so I can figure out what my favorite characters are up to!
