I had already read the book, so I was excited to hear that there would be an audio version narrated by Joel Leslie. There are so many things I want to say about how interesting the book is, how great the narration is and how the audiobook showcases one of the better pairings of author and narrator. However, I will limit my gushings to the following:
The story of how Mace, Jonah and Cole struggling with their past and how they find each other is really, really good.
Then Joel Leslie pulls you in character by character. His performance, giving each character their own voice, is brilliant. And the love scenes…. totally worth a sleepless night or two… nuff said.
This is definitely a book and audio that will be re-read and listened to again. I am looking forward to listening to future collaborations between Ms. Kennedy and Mr Leslie and separate works.
Ms. Kennedy, thank you for the opportunity to listen to your first audiobook. It was worth the wait and looking forward to the rest of the Protectors (and the Finding series -hint, hint 🙂 ) on audio (already have the books).
Although **I received a few copy of this audiobook from the author** I would have gotten it on my own and written the same review.
