This story feels like it was once a solid idea – but the writing fails completely to take the story seriously. The result feels like it was written for a 14 year old sci-if lover. *Nobody says mumbo-jumbo – ever. “Pain in the neck” I could forgive, but mumbo-jumbo (more than once) was too far.
And the narration did the writing absolutely no favors. Literally every character sounds like Private Hudson (played by Bill Paxton) from Aliens voicing an ensemble cast.
I wanted to like it and I kept trying, but after 3 hours, I had to give up and move on.
Not recommended for anyone who remotely appreciates serious, hard-science, sci-fi.
