loved Joel Leslie in this one! he did a brillant job in distinguishing Felix from Lane even when you are only seeing it from Felix POV. he kept you with the story the entire wild ride no point you were pulled out cause something felt off. highly recommended.
Lane was seriously hurt on the job that forever changed him, making him have a hard time letting anyone in again. Felix takes a job caring for Lane. All he knows is he is hurt in an accident and isn’t coping well. These two take a bit to warm up to each other, but through banter and snark, learn to let the other in.
When Lanes past comes back, Felix is the collateral damage and thrown into the madness. Lane doesn’t want or, in his opinion, need his help, yet they soon realize they need each other to maybe survive all the chaos going on. Great banter with a fun chemistry that has come and know to expect from Alice Winters as an author. I’m not sure how I missed this series, but on to the next installment, I go to see how the madness plays out.
