I swear these books just keep getting better and better. I love a good brother’s best friend, throw in the forced proximity of having to live together and a southern charmer with a naughty side, and you know we’re gonna have a good time.

Evie planned to stay with her brother the summer after graduating while she looked for a job, but things get complicated when she finds and rescues a puppy off the streets and Kai’s building doesn’t allow pets. What’s Kai’s solution? To have Evie and her new puppy live with his best friend and teammate, the man she has been crushing on for years.

I honestly loved this story so much. Rhett lives up to the southern gentleman stereotype, and I love how perfect Evie is for him. I also loved how real their relationship felt. How neither of them gave up on their dreams and how the author showed that loving someone sometimes means having to make things work. Not everything is gonna be perfect all the time and sometimes compromises need to be made.
