What starts off as an intriguing semi-sci-fi apocalypse story ends in a prayer-filled r*pe fantasy. The writing devolves between books and had me questioning on whether ai was being used to help write it. There are a lot of phrase repetitions that lend to a very boring dialogue and the plot has so many things driving it, you can’t pinpoint what is even the main point. Characters are written as one age in one book and then aged up 10 years two books later despite time only passing incrementally from the beginning of book one to the end of book 5. Also, there are numerous tone shifts and perspective changes throughout that make it confusing and hard to listen to. All in all, I would not waste your time with this book.
