I like most of Cat Sebastian’s MM historical fiction, this is my favorite, with Andy and Nick’s friendship to relationship, and 1950’s NYC as the setting. I listen to this audiobook often, Joel Leslie is easy to listen to and he does different characters well. I like how Nick is a regular guy, Andy a little less so, but their story seems authentic. It’s great that they get a HEA, kind of, but sad to think of how life was for men in this situation/era. Made me want learn more about recent LGBTQ history. I like that the story is a little emotionally painful, there is conflict. A little spicy but I’d be up for more. Also liked the secondary characters, so was excited when You Should Be So Lucky came out. Finally, love the cover art, with the men on the fire escape. So many books have forgettable (albeit hot) guys on the cover, so looking at the cover I can never remember whether I’ve read the book as they are all kind of the same. I like the books with drawings or more artful covers, like this one!
