A great story of love, loss and fighting in a brutal and rich world. I wish wang would have done a bit of work making the world more approachable. From the get go words and terms for ideas that are never fully fleshed out are hurled at you. It took me a solid 1/3 of the book to connect some of the most basic dots. It’s frustrating because the story is neither too complicated nor too big to be so heavily weighted down by what is an author not doing their due diligence.
