I enjoyed reading this story. The prose was beautiful and the world very interesting. But the story was also uneven. After the tragedy which occurs halfway (which left me shocked and speechless), the story doesn’t really pick up again. The aftermath is very slow and not much happens. Some storylines end without an answer, maybe for a second book?
The narrator was very good. I enjoyed listening to him.
