I rarely if ever write reviews mostly because I am a tough critic and am easily underwhelmed by the plot, the characters, the prose or the emotional connection I feel to the story. This might have been my favorite book of all time or at the very least, the past decade.
The character development was exquisite, the narration was perfectly sequenced, and the storyline was subtle, inviting and beautifully crafted. It left enough to the imagination yet tied together the loose ends in a way that left you satisfied but also yearning for more.
10/10 for Virginia Evans. It may have taken you many years and many novels. It was worth the wait. I have no doubt that your “voice” is here to stay.
