I can’t speak highly enough of this series. Carl and Donut are an incredible combination. The series features a unique concept for a LitRPG adventure with familiar elements. The AI that controls the dungeon adds a layer of surreal humor that builds on the already hilarious interactions between a man and his cat.
The audible narration really makes the book. I read the first two without the Audible narration, but Jeff Hays brings Carl and Donut (and the rest of the cast) to life in a way that makes everything both more absurd and more entertaining.
