it starts out pretty much like you think. but it does differ greatly from the original storyline in a good way. the female main character does do a lot of personal growth. she was very weak-willed and had an extremely low self-esteem. you see her struggle with it throughout the book but she eventually becomes a little stronger. I can’t wait to read the second one. all narrators did a great job.
