Book 2 for some reason starts skipping interesting bits for jokes and unimportant bits. A great example is when Nemans best friends widowed wife shows up with her son, and instead of a teary and tense reunion where he can start atoning for the death of his friend and her husband, the author skips right over it with barely any real writing. Meanwhile the part where Neman wants a new couch get an entire Chapter to itself.
